Sudanese Community Shines at Ulster University’s Intercultural Day
The Sudanese Community Association Northern Ireland (SCANI) proudly participated in Intercultural Day at Ulster University, showcasing Sudan’s rich history, heritage, cultural identity and traditions.
The community presented a vibrant display of Sudanese folklore, traditional products and cultural heritage. Students from the Sudanese Community School also took part in a theatrical performance, celebrating Sudanese culture and highlighting the importance of preserving cultural identity among younger generations.
SCANI’s participation received great appreciation from attendees and was recognised with an award in acknowledgment of its contribution to cultural diversity and exchange.
The event also provided valuable networking opportunities, with several organisations expressing interest in working with SCANI to offer services, develop partnerships and provide support that benefits the Sudanese community in Northern Ireland.
SCANI’s Executive Committee extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this successful participation and remains committed to promoting Sudanese culture, strengthening community partnerships and creating new opportunities for its members.
