SCANI at Ignite Community Programme – Amplifying the Voice of Sudanese Youth!
The Sudanese Community Association Northern Ireland (SCANI) was pleased to take part in the Ignite Community Programme, bringing together community organisations and partners supporting young people and local initiatives.Through our Youth & Sports Office, SCANI shared our experience of running the Youth Club, workshops and youth activities, highlighting the opportunities and challenges facing Sudanese young people — particularly around employment and recognition of their qualifications and professional experience.We also highlighted SCANI’s commitment to helping young people understand their rights and opportunities, develop their skills, and actively contribute to the local community. It was also a pleasure to meet the Lord Mayor of Belfast, who met with SCANI representatives and recognised the valuable contribution of our community and its initiatives towards inclusion and community participation.
