Sudanese Community School in Northern Ireland: Two Months of Progress and Achievement
The Sudanese Community School in Northern Ireland has successfully completed its second month of operation, with lessons running smoothly and students demonstrating enthusiasm, engagement and a growing interest in learning. This progress reflects the school’s important role in strengthening Sudanese identity and preserving the Arabic language among younger generations.
During these two months, the school celebrated the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Mawlid Al-Nabi), providing students with an opportunity to engage with Islamic values and traditions. Students also participated in Intercultural Day at Ulster University, proudly showcasing Sudanese culture and heritage and promoting cultural exchange within the wider community.
The SCANI Executive Committee extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the school management and teaching staff for their dedication, commitment and valuable efforts. The Committee emphasises that the Sudanese School is one of the community’s most important activities and continues to receive particular attention and ongoing support, recognising its vital role in educating our children and preserving Sudanese cultural identity.
The Executive Committee invites all members of the Sudanese community, parents and interested supporters to contribute to the school’s development and help sustain its educational and cultural mission. The school’s success is a shared responsibility, and investing in our children’s education is an investment in their future and the preservation of our Sudanese identity.
